(Update) Review 

After thoroughly listening to Views over and over again, I've decided that this is a good solid album. I appreciate Drake because he's actually rapping in this album, mixing the classic Drake sound with his new trap like sound. Views from the 6 is like a mix of Takecare and If you're reading this, which is not bad at all to me. He's giving us hip hop listeners the best of both worlds without lacking or upsetting the other side. Views is well balanced giving you enough to keep your ears listening to the entire album. I enjoy the second half of the album more than the first half, and the only thing that throws me off in the album is the placement of Hotline Bling. I completely don't see why that song is at the end of the album when "Views" was a perfect outro. This was completely left field. Personally I wouldn't have included the single on the album because the radio, the tv, and everything else overplayed this song so much that it's annoying. The format of Views is similar to Takecare both having 20 songs, the placement of pop songs versus rap song, and of course the topics discussed. At first listen I thought the album was mediocre and extremely mainstream. Although Views is a mainstream kind of album with a few predicable songs, the album caters to 90s hip hop and RnB. Sampling sounds from the golden era that even included the southern style in songs like "Faithful." 


  • The hip hop heads will enjoy songs like; Views, Weston Road Flows, Fire & Desire, Pop Style, U With Me and maybe Hype. 
  • The trap style listeners will enjoy; Hype, Grammy's, Still Here, 9, and Child's Play. 
  • The people who likes pop singing Drake will enjoy songs like; Redemption, Controlla, One Dance, Keep the Family Close, Too Good.

So far my favorite songs on the album are Views, Weston Road Flows, Still Here, One Dance, Grammy's and Fire & Desire. Drake sounds like he's focused on the music with this album. Good job!

Day 11 Well my current relationship status is single. At the age of 22, being single have its ups and downs of course. I've developed a lot of mixed emotions about the single life. In 2014 I broke up with my ex boy friend of two years and I've been back "on the market" since. What A Time To Be ALive "What a time to be alive" is the title of Drake's & Future's collaborative project, that Drake recently confirmed via Instagram. The two rappers have been hinting about the collaboration over the past week via social medial, and like everyone else we've been keeping our eye out.  .
