Remy Ma shether herself with another one (Remy VS Nicki Minaj)

Queen of rap?

When you think of classic rap beefs the first ones that come to mind are; Tupac VS Biggie, Nas VS Jay Z, and 50 Cent VS the world. These beefs influenced the culture, causing the most attention, and simply were the most entertaining beefs within artist. While incorporating personal references that are directly stated against their opponent kept the audiences involved and anxious. Since the emergence of publicizing entertainment feud and creating music to antagonize the conflict, annually audience expect for another beef to evolve.

Shether
This year's beefs will begin with Remy Ma VS Nicki Minaj. This isn't an unexpected beef because it's rumored that the two had previous words before Remy was sentenced to serve 8 years in prison. Since her release Remy has stated that she doesn't have any issues with Nicki, although critics push that some of Nicki's lyrics were indirect shots towards Remy. The two have shared several friendly endorsements among one another via twitter, and Remy once spoke of possibly collaborating. So what provoked this sudden change of heart? Recently, Remy has tweeted several hostile tweets towards Nicki and have released 2 diss songs. The first diss song uses the beat of Nas Ether and titled the song Shether. The song tells fans exactly what everyone was thinking, but it sounds good to hear it as a song.

Another One
As a response to Shether, Nicki features on Gucci Mane new song "Make Love" and although she refrains from using Remy's name the song is clearly a direct punch at Remy's rap career. I guess Remy heard the song, because today she released another track title "Another One" alongside of some mysteriously leaked photos that surfaced on the internet. The photo has been deleted since then, but the fans quickly respond to the second diss track as "too much."

You may here the saying that there's a price to having fame and fortune. One of the costs to having fame is having zero privacy. Everyone always knows or either wants to know about what's going on in your life, and for the most part they do know. The cost for having fortune generally creates desire that leads to envy and jealousy that can impact unimaginable negative events. Now I'm not saying that Remy isn't a good rapper, she clearly carries the culture "the golden era" of hip hop. However as an overall artist infusing style, charisma, and personality, Nicki wins and will be hard to beat. Shether was clearly a better diss record and another one is a better song, but lacks the impact of Shether. The moral of this story is, Remy should've let Shether win fans over a little longer, because now it comes off as her being jealous of Nicki, ultimately demolishing the buzz that she created. Nicki needs to release better solo music, because fans have been questioning if she actually deserves the title Queen of rap since ex boy friend Safaree revealed that he's her ghost writer.
