Same-sex Marriage legalized In All States #LoveWins
Love Wins
Today marks history as crowds chant and cheer across the country, "straight, gay, black or white, marriage is a civil right," to the Supreme Court's decision to legalized same-sex marriage in all 50 states.
Love has no boundaries so why should marriage is my opinion on the decisions. Of course social media is going crazy over the decision, many supporting the decision as the hashtag #lovewins began to trend.
Gay and lesbian couples already could marry in 36 states and the District of Columbia. The court’s 5-4 ruling means the remaining 14 states, in the South and Midwest, will have to stop enforcing their bans on same-sex marriage.
The Obama administration backed the right of same-sex couples to marry. The Justice Department’s decision to stop defending the federal anti-marriage law in 2011 was an important moment for gay rights and President Barack Obama declared his support for same-sex marriage in 2012.
I'm excited about this decision because love conquers all and now the Supreme Court will have the time to focus on actual problems.
