4 Ways Tekashi69 can come up somewhat on top under his circumstances

What is Racketeering? Racketeering is a form of extortion; one who obtain money through an illegal organization usually motivated by intimidation. The RICO Act allows law enforcement to charge a person or group with racketeering if they are or have committed a certain number of crimes in a 10-year time span; which can easily be a gang and its members. As one of the easiest charges that a criminal can violate; with the ability to arrest and detain you, many major criminals shy away from public appearances. If you are seen with known criminals, you can be called in for questioning, and if the authorities find a consistent pattern among you and the criminals, you will be considered an accomplice. Everyone is fully aware that Tekashi69 is not the king pin in this organization, but as a popular affiliate with the most to lose, he was the easiest target for the feds. Here are three options that Tekashi69 has in order to get ahead and move pass this situation.  He Snitches! This...

Winners of 2017

Top 10 Songs of 2017 1. Bodak Yellow Cardi B's Bodak Yellow allowed her to reach levels that would take most rappers years to accomplish. Her take on Kodak Black's No Flockin instantly became the number one song with the first bar. After only being acknowledged as a rapper for 2 years, the young rapper is already being compared to veterans like Nicki Minaj. I'm interested in seeing where Cardi's talent takes her.   2. XO Tour LIfe If you doubted Lil Uzi Vert in 2016, well 2017s XO Tour Life changed everyone's opinion of Uzi. He officially became a rock star with this hit single. As an Uzi fan since the release of Luv is Rage in 2015, I'm happy and excited to see the level of success he's received in a 2-year time span. His future is bright, if he remains true to himself. 3. Humble, Love (8) The year 2017 also solidified Kendrick Lamar's value in hip hop. Yes, I know that Lamar is already placed on a high pedestal, but this year w...

Lil Wanye Influenced Drake, Nicki Minaj, & Kendrick Lamar

Image
Lil Wayne is the most underrated influence of this generation. Ok, yes Weezy hasn't been the same since his incarceration, Wayne's music has been average and currently he's not a topic in most music conversations unless you're referring to "old Wayne." However Weezy's sound and untouchable work ethic is the origin of this can't actually sing but use auto tune in order to create a harmony on the song sound. Wayne just like Kanye, Tupac, and so many others has created a style that has influenced an entire generation whether they're aware of it or not. Remember the T-Wayne era?  T-Wayne is similar to the modern day boy band "ships" but instead involves combining two people that should or do collaborate on music often. T-Wayne refers to the collection of hit songs that rapper T- Pain and Lil Wayne collaborated on. T- Pain branded him self as a singer that only used the auto tune effect and Lil Wayne began to use the same effect o...

Isaiah Rashad - Smile (New Music)

One word #dope, I love the beat and the vocals are perfect. “Smile” makes you want to smile; smoke, and ride, smile has a very smooth natural sound. Nice start for the year TDE with Kendrick's new song “Untitled 2” that he premiered on Jimmy Fallon, and Absoul's House of Sin.

Forbes Names Hip Hop Kings

See anything different on the list? Well I do! For the past 5 years this list has fluctuated between Diddy, Jay Z, Dr Dre, Birdman and 50 Cent. Well not this year, 50 Cent encountered many legal troubles this year including filing for Bankruptcy, and Birdman well he's still on the list just further down. Once again Diddy grabs the number one spot of the highest earnings in the hip hop sphere with his Vodka Ciroc brand. Jay Z with Roc Nation, having major artist like Beyonce and J. Cole on the roster, with J. Cole having his biggest year with his 2014 Forest Drive album going platinum. Although the year is not over 2015 seems to be the year of Drizzy, Drake dropping two mixtapes, opening up a restaurant in Toronto, and having the only hip hop project to go platinum this year. Oh yeah not to mention his explosive beef with Meek Mill that dominated the internet for months, which led to the infamous "Back 2 Back" hit single/diss song. Drake is officially in the major leag...

A Future Kind Of Week, DS2 Review (stream)

Image
Dirty Sprite 2  Released: July 17, 2015 In the midst of the baby mama drama and twitter arguments, Future Hendrix managed to release his hot new album Dirty Sprite 2 . This is the third studio album from Future, with only one feature, rapper pal Drake. Which is a major difference from the sophomore album Honest that contains 9 features. In recent interviews Future discusses going back to his roots, the ATL, in order to recreate himself and his fans love for the Future they've always known. I should go into the Ciara & Future drama, because of his recent comments regarding Ciara bringing their son around her new boo, Russell Wilson. Since the break up with Future and singer Ciara the Futurehive is buzzing saying, "he's back!" I to am enjoying Dirty Sprite 2 . The production fits the album and Future's voice. The summer club bangerz have finally arrived. Despite the "promoting of drug use" comments made, but taken out of context by rapper OG Mac...

When Did You Fall In Love With Hip-Hop?

Image
Hip-Hop You The Love of My Life Well I absolutely love this topic, because I love hip-hop. I'm 20 years old, so yes I'm a 90s baby, unfortunately I wasn't alive for the beginning of hip-hop. Therefore my hip-hop influences are not: Eric B & Rakim, Run DMC, KRS-1, Suga Hill Gang, Funky 4 plus One More, Rappers Delight etc... You get the drift. However we 90s babies are the luckiest, because we've gotten a chance to be a part of the elevation of the lifestyle. Raps that were once only rhymes, elevated to many poetic devices. Artist such as: Tupac, Biggie, Common, Jay-Z, Nas, Eminem, and OutKast etc...are examples of the advance. With all of that being said, I've been a hip-hop listener since 1998, I was 5 years old, but of course that's not when I fell in love with hip-hop, because I was way too young to appreciate any music. Back then all I enjoyed about music was the catchy tones, but not the lyricism. As the years past I began to develop an infatuati...

Real Irrational Games! Kendrick vs Drake? (Top MC)

Image
Who Wins Top MC? I have no clue why irrational games are trending, but when I seen the subject this what I immediately thought. Lately everyone has been in a tangent over who is the top MC today, and majority voted that it's definitely either Kendrick Lamar or Drake! Yes this is a hard choice even for me. Kendrick freshman album Good Kid M.a.a.d City was a guaranteed classic and an amazing start of a career. However Drake has had 3 consecutive platinum albums equally amazing, especially with his 3rd album Nothing Was The Same . I am still playing both albums (literally), but who deserves the title as Top MC?                                     The Break Down Kendrick Lamar - Good Kid M.a.a.d City (Classic) Platinum, Crossed Over, Nominated for The Grammys (should've won), Solid delivery ,...

Why You're As Much of a 'Genius' as Jay Z

Image
I hear a lot of people call the "God MC"/rap mogul/business mogul Jay Z a genius. As understandable as it is that you would call him that, given his business ventures and great success, I must disagree. What exactly is it that Jay-Z has done that you yourself cannot accomplish? The answer is "nothing".  It does not take a genius to become successful. It takes someone that is driven and willing to  work  for whatever it is that he/she wants. The success that you attain is solely dependent on the time and effort you decide to put into it. Are you willing to make connections? Are you willing to step outside of the box? Jay Z was. From selling crack cocaine in the streets of Brooklyn, NY--a story you probably are familiar with ( click here  if you aren't)--Jay managed to work his way onto not only the rap scene, but later the Forbes List.  His rise to success was sparked by his lack of complacency. He had no interest in falling into mediocrity and limit...
