In recent interviews rapper Post Malone was quoted saying " Hip Hop isn't the music you go to for emotion or important things," immediately after this statement hip hop fans expressed their outrage. For over a decade now hip hop heads have pondered the direction of the genre. The release of the 2006 Nas album 'Hip Hop is Dead' forced the question of whether the genre is going, and 11 years later we hear the answer. Many like Post Malone believe that the essence and messages in hip hop are lost, but here are 10 modern hip hop songs that stir up several emotions, while maintaining their messages. The statement is disrespectful because Hip Hop grew based off of the messages it provided, and still to this day is used as a political voice. Review of Coloring Book #Chance3

Image
Listen to Coloring Book by Chance the Rapper on @AppleMusic. https://itun.es/us/C3Qwcb Take a listen to Chicago's own Chance the Rapper newest mixtape Coloring Book. This is the third mixtape from the rapper following his classic tape Acid Rap, once again Chance providing his uplifting artistic expression without being limited by the major labels. Chance The Rapper - Wonderful Everyday #NewSong

Image
Arthur Theme Song A song to truly brighten your day is what "Wonderful Everyday" is, thanks to Chance The Rapper. The song samples the hit family cartoon series "Arthur," which every 90s baby should be able to relate to. Good job Chance for giving music another inspiring song! The song, produced by his band The Social Experiment (comprised of Nico Segal , Nate Fox , and Peter CottonTale ), is something the group cooked up just to show the world that the Chicago native still has the juice. More music from Chance & The Social Experiment soon to come!
