DAMN Kendrick

After carefully listening to Kendrick Lamar's new album Damn, I've decided that I am proud of Kendrick. Not because of the fact that Damn exonerates any speculations of him lacking creativity or diversity, but how he was able to remain true to his lyrical technique and style. While songs like "DNA" and "Loyalty" resembles modern hip hop, with their repetitive choice of words and beats that grabs audiences eardrums. Once again he combines abstract lyricism with the new age sound that everyone wants to hear.    Apple Music describes Damn as being brutally honest, and I can concur. Kendrick is honest about his feelings towards the music industry, society, and even his personal relationships. He's frustrated about how the unexpected has become a reality, and is confused about staying "loyal" to the path he's begu

The Get Down is a Netflix tv series that aired its pilot episode on August 12, 2016. This is the story loosely based off of the derivative birth of hip hop . Beginning in the late 70s, also known as the disco era, were 5 boys who expressed themselves differently and were unable to relate to the glamorous life shown on tv. The scene is set in the south Bronx, at the time the Burroughs were popular for poverty, crime, and drugs. Many people were tired of the disco sound, so when the Djs began to use only the initial beat and mixed records together, it created an entirely new sound. After ending their thrilling debut season with a number of stories that left audiences craving more, rumors surfaced that the first season would be the only season. The rumors were put to rest once it was announced that part two of the show will release on Netflix on April 7, 2017. The clock struck 12pm eastern time and there it was The Get Down part 2. With only 5 episodes for this season, audiences are st
