With all the unexpected controversy happening in Cudi's life over the last few months, fans were excited to hear that he was actually releasing the new album that was promised. While in the midst of a brief feud with Kanye and openly admitting himself into the hospital for depression, Cudi released two vibrant lead singles Frequency and Surfin . Fans became skeptical towards Cudi, questioning if he would release an album that would meet their expectations and if he created this drama as a publicity stunt. Well lose your doubt, because like all of the great creatives "pain" is an essential element to art. Passion Pain and Demon Slayin takes audiences on an ecstasy ride. The dynamics of the album is the healing process of Cudi's mind. Unlike Speedin bullet 2 heaven , Cudi stretches that sadness from speedin bullet and takes it on a world spin until he reaches his form of happiness inside of passion and pain. Anti    Rihanna gathered media and fans at an L.A. gallery tonight to unveil details of her new album, and the title has now been confirmed. As some guessed early on in the night, the tentatively titled R8 is now called  ANTI , and has some pretty awesome artwork to go along with it. The cover is designed by contemporary artist Roy Nachum, who worked with Ri Ri on the cover.

Lupe Fiasco - Pharaoh Height Political rapper Lupe Fiasco released early this morning a new mixtape titled Pharaoh Height . Of course with a name and cover art like that, conscious minds are forced to take a listen. Lupe is known for his wide range of sounds and thought provoking topics, so this comes as no surprise that this mixtape does that also. I enjoyed Pharaoh Height . The mixtape delivers in lyrical content that many would argue as true "hip hop." Normally I can't sit through an entire Lupe tape without turning it off or skipping the songs, because sometimes he can just do too much, in my opinion, but not on Pharaoh Height . Many artist mention political and mind control topics, but lack an explanation. Not Lupe, he's straight to the point and is in dept about the topics that he address on the tape, reminding audiences of the old Lupe, just with a newer flow. I like it, nice job Lupe!
