Listen to Views From the 6

Image
Now available on iTunes! Drake's fourth studio album Views From the 6. The review is coming soon, but for now just click the image to listen. Listen to Views by Drake on @AppleMusic. https://itun.es/us/RYFfcb (Update) Review  After thoroughly listening to Views over and over again, I've decided that this is a good solid album. I appreciate Drake because he's actually rapping in this album, mixing the classic Drake sound with his new trap like sound. Views from the 6 is like a mix of Takecare and If you're reading this, which is not bad at all to me. He's giving us hip hop listeners the best of both worlds without lacking or upsetting the other side. Views is well balanced giving you enough to keep your ears listening to the entire album. I enjoy the second half of the album more than the first half, and the only thing that throws me off in the album is the placement of Hotline Bling. I completely don't see why that song is at the end of the album whe

Lemonade Premier

Image
The beyhive is once again buzzing over Beyonce's premiers her sixth studio album Lemonade on HBO last night. Following an unexpected single "Formation" in February, Beyonce announced she would be releasing a visual album alongside a world tour. Although I've yet to see all of Lemonade, several clips have gone viral, completely taking over the entire internet. So far I've seen the visuals feature Tennis Champion, Serena Williams getting sexy and twerking. Hmm that's interesting, seems like Serena wants that A-list attention. However the focus of Beyonce's new album is what's stirring up all of the noise. The lyrics blantely states that her husband, Jay Z has cheated on her. Heavily Beyonce weighs in on dishonesty and deceit, that has caused her to threaten and contemplate divorce. Twitter and the beyhive members have gone crazy, just straight coming for Jay Z's throat. It's pretty hilarious and a great way to start off my morning, although I'

Birdman & Young Thug Coming for Charlemagne

Image
So in case you haven't heard, yesterday during what was supposed to be a Breakfast club interview took a major turn for the worst. Cash Money CEO Birdman came to the radio station for an interview with the Breakfast Club and well he wasted no time popping off immediately stating "Stop playing with my f**king name, directly aimed towards radio host Charlemagne the God. Birdman continued by saying respect his name and trading shots with Charlemagne until ultimately Birdman and his camp left. Making that interview one of the world's shortest interviews lol. We all are extremely confused about how the issue even got started, but this isn't shocking because Charlemagne is known to piss people off with his slick comments. However I think Charlemagne needs to readjust how to handle this situation because the Cash Money crew is known for their mob like mentality. He may have kissed off the wrong people, as Youbg Thug responds today with threats today "We're gonna b

I am Weird Because...#30DayBlogChallenge

Four Traits I Have 1. I live my life like a chess game. Winning chess games require taking risk. You take risk that your competitor didn't out think your move in order to strike you or simply get ahead. Is it spite or skill, you may question. Although this is a normal feeling that we all can relate to, I envision all scenarios in life this way, whether I’m taking economical risk or personal ones.  2. I believe in magic Normally I'd break down how the brain has distinct amounts of usage in each separate chamber, and I could go on explaining the technical details of how the possibility of "magic" is more realistic than most believe, but that's not why I believe magic exist. I actually imagine little kids wanting to be heroes like, Goku, playing with crystal energy balls without harming anyone. Remember, it's often the simple things in life that create the most enjoyment. No wonder why rebellion is exciting. 3. I'm random

Drake ft. The Throne - Pop Style

Image
As April 29, the release date for rapper Drake's fourth album, Views From the 6 slowly creeps up on us. Drake decides to surprise us with 2 singles titled "Pop Style" and "One Dance." I'm not sure what to expect from Drake's Views from the 6 , but my instinct is telling me he'll deliver another timeless album. Singles like One Dance features upcoming artist Wizkid & Kyla and instantly gives you pop Drake. However Pop Style which features The Throne (Kanye West & Jay Z) does the complete opposite. This is turn up fun Drake, who is kinda taunting with the pop culture, exposing the irony of why he released both songs together. HOV gives his fans a few bars to tease us and Kanye just dominates the song. I guess this is The Throne's way of inducting Drake into their realm lol, well that's how I took the collaboration. I enjoyed the song it's catchy and delievers on each beat. Of course As a HOV fan I would've love his part to be l

Kobe Bryant's Last NBA Game

Image
Long Live The Black Mamba The Black Mamba is being put to rest after a 20 year long NBA career. Well so he says. Drafted by the Charlotte Hornets in 1996 but traded to the LA Lakers during draft night, Kobe Bryant has dominated the NBA as one of the greatest Basketball players to ever play the game. As an apprentice of Michael Jordan, Kobe Bryant holds many accolades including; 5 NBA championship titles, 18 All-Star games, 2 Finals MVP and so much more. Kobe is known for his cocky, confident, and aggressive personality but has managed to keep most of his personal life completely separate from the court and media. Of course with the exception of that little incident back in 2004, that I still believe he was falsely accused for. Kobe managed to handle a marriage and divorce while remaining focused enough on Basketball to continue his success. Just like Mike who played while having the flu, Kobe has dominated while having sprang ankles and a broken shoulder. There's definitely a

What's Your Favorite Will Smith Movie?

Image
In honor of Will Smith, who was awarded the Generation award at this year MTV Movie Awards. I've concocted a list of my 5 favorite Will Smith movies.   Men in Black The 1997 film stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones, deriving from a Marvel comic book series. The Men in Black are a secret government organization who manages "aliens" who live on earth. These are the hidden people with secret identities, who make sure aliens are kept hidden from humans, and do not endanger the planet. This thrilling science fiction movie provides laughs for all audiences. I am Legend Presumably the last man on Earth is scientist Robert Neville who’s played by Will Smith. Neville has created as vaccination to cure cancer, which ultimately destroys mankind by turning the humans into mutant zombies. However Neville is determined to reverse the virus, and is now searching for others who are alive, while attempting to reverse the virus. This is easily my favorite movie because of

Former NFL Player Will Smith Murdered

Image
Will Smith , a nine-year NFL veteran, first-round pick,  Pro Bowl er and  Super Bowl  champion, was shot and killed late Saturday night following a traffic accident in New Orleans that brought the NFL community to tears Sunday morning. He was 34 years old. Smith's wife, Racquel, was also shot and was taken to the hospital. The couple had three children, William, Wynter and Lisa. "Heavy Hearts with the senseless passing of our Team Capt.  Will Smith ,"  Saints  head coach Sean Payton posted on Twitter Sunday. "Pray for his wife's recovery and their children." The family also released a statement: "On behalf of the Smith family, we are thankful for the outpouring of support and prayers. Dej Loaf Flops With New Mixtape

Image
Soooo I would like to start off with saying that Dej Loaf is a very attractive woman. The cover art for her new mixtape All Jokes Aside really shows Dej's sexy feminine side that draws you into listening to the tape. Now I do question as of why she chose a mixtape cover to be half naked on over an album, but hey that's a besides the point of this review. As for the mixtape, well Dej this is complete trash. Possibly one of the worse mixtapes I've heard in the past 3 years. Here's why: First of all the songs are repetitive as hell, and yes this would've been a good thing if they were good songs but they weren’t. Second, the intro is awful and doesn't grab your attention. Intros are created to sustain the audience’s attention, making them desire to continue to listen to the rest of the music. This intro does the complete opposite. Third, where are the hooks? Seriously how do you have an entire project without at least one catchy hook? I forced myself

Rihanna You Rock! (Black Girls Rock)

Image
This high-profile group of singers, actors and cultural figures had gathered here on Friday night for  the awards show for Black Girls Rock, the organization that honors black women for their artistic and humanitarian achievements. This year it is celebrating its 10th anniversary. This year the event will be hosted by actress Tracy Ellis Ross.  The award recipients included Rihanna, Gladys Knight, Shonda Rhimes, Danai Gurira and Amandla Stenberg. The ceremony also honored Patrisse Cullors, Alicia Garza and Opal Tometi, who are among the founders of the Black Lives Matter movement. The atmosphere of the awards show is part celebration, part family reunion, and offers a moment to pause. Started in 2006, the nonprofit group seeks to empower and mentor black girls while promoting the arts and challenging the often-negative and stereotypical ways in which women of color are portrayed in the media by holding up a different mirror. In 2010 it began holding a televised awards show with

Child like Innocence #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 24 Hmm something I miss... This is an extremely broad question, so I'm a little confused on how I should answer this. As I search through my memory bank I realize I miss the innocence of being a child. As a child it's almost like you're unaware of the pain and hurt the world provides. Yes, we experience pain and misfortune as a child, but think about it children don't realize the misfortunes they've encountered until they become older. None of the pain we experience as a child affects us until we're old enough to develop ill feelings towards it. We fall cry and then get up and start running again as a child. Now as an adult you fall maybe cry and immediately put medicine on it or might even go to the doctor. I believe that the personality we display as a child is the true nature to our character, and the rest is altered by our environment and society. As I grew older I began to lose a lot of respect for those older than me, because it's like

Death of Desktop Computers? Seagate Technology

Image
Over the past decade there's been an extreme decrease of Desktop computers in society. The development of cell phones, laptops, and tablets etc... Are the reasons behind the decline. However you still find most businesses and corporations using desktop, because of the amount of storage they can hold. This may change with the release of Seagate's desktop USB Hard Drive will decrease the need for the traditional technology, because of its physical convenience and cost efficiency.  "Keeping the number of power cords dangling off your desk to a minimum usually means settling for a smaller capacity backup drive that draws all the power it needs from a single USB cable.   Seagate’s new Innov8 drive  packs 8TB of storage into an external closure that doesn’t need to draw power from an outlet. Available sometime next month for $350, the Innov8 relies only on a USB-C connection to your computer to work. There’s no need to make room on an already crowded power strip for yet a
