In a series of unexpected tweets last night, rapper Kid Cudi decided to yet again express his heart and thoughts to his fans on social media. This time the target was the two most popular artist in today's hip hop; former mentor Kanye West and Drake. Claiming that Ye has been disloyal to him and of course reinstating the accusations of Drizzy having multiple song writers. Instead of performing his controversial single "Famous," Kanye West decided to make yet another bold or some might say weird statement by premiering "Fade." The song concludes The Life of Pablo relaying a message of hopelessness and confusion that he's suffering. As for the video, Teyana Taylor performs an abstract dance to the song, alongside the intimacy between her and Cavilers player Iman Shumpert. Her sexy display made her the center of attention, but the random weird animals is what people like myself are confused about. Do you get it?  

We surrounded by the Wolves After premiering the controversial video for the single "Famous," which displayed a series of naked celebrities , Kanye returns with another intense visual for the Wolves which features artist Sia and Vic Mensa. The singles appear on Kanye's recent album The Life of Pablo , and the album received raved reviews for the overall sound and creativity. Taking shots at public figures such as Donald Trump, Ye shows us that he's still the old Kanye that his fans love. The visuals displayed in Wolves increases the intensity of the song, it's almost like a scary movie about reality. Making audiences question if this is reality at all.  

As April 29, the release date for rapper Drake's fourth album, Views From the 6 slowly creeps up on us. Drake decides to surprise us with 2 singles titled "Pop Style" and "One Dance." I'm not sure what to expect from Drake's Views from the 6 , but my instinct is telling me he'll deliver another timeless album. Singles like One Dance features upcoming artist Wizkid & Kyla and instantly gives you pop Drake. However Pop Style which features The Throne (Kanye West & Jay Z) does the complete opposite. This is turn up fun Drake, who is kinda taunting with the pop culture, exposing the irony of why he released both songs together. HOV gives his fans a few bars to tease us and Kanye just dominates the song. I guess this is The Throne's way of inducting Drake into their realm lol, well that's how I took the collaboration. Some years in music are always better than others. It's almost like the artist or corporations sit down together and say "ok this year will be the good music year." The year 2011 was definitely one of those years for hip hop. So I asked myself, if I could only buy 1 of these albums which would it be? After carefully deliberating for a few days, going back and forth from album to album, I chose Section 80. Here's why: Section 80 was the debut album for Kendrick Lamar, and if that album would've been any other Kendrick album I would not care for him too much. As a first album Section 80 instantly grabbed my attention and forced me to place Kendrick in an above standard category. Section 80 was different from the music we we're currently listening to, and was flawless in my eyes. Recently it has come to my whereabouts that the song "Father Stretch My Hands" which I thought featured Atlanta rapper Future was in fact actually a sample titled "Panda" from a G.O.O.D Music artist by the name of Designer. This is unexpected twist for Brooklyn natives in my opinion. I'm use to NY artist being innovators not impostors. We give you guys credit for creating the genre now let others manipulate the sound and make their own. Stick to the classic NY sound that we all love and admire. As a resident of Atlanta, spending half of my life in this city I was irate. Personally I'm not a Future fan nor would I ever claim to be, however that doesn't make it right to be an impostor. What a nice Valentine’s Day treat we received from Kanye West, with the release of his highly anticipated 8th album   The Life of Pablo.   After several name changes Kanye finally stuck with Pablo as such a fitting title for the album. As always the entire production on the album was incredible. Kanye painted murals of each instrument as feelings like they were scenes from an old time movie. If a movie was used to describe the album I would instantly envision an old time black & white movie.   The Life of Pablo   is a fusion of old   College Dropout   Kanye,   MBDTF,   and a dab of   Yeezus   all mixed into one. Honestly I haven't concluded my exact feelings towards the album. The intro "Ultra Beam" was uplifting, "No Parties" was incredible and as predicted the best song on the album, "Wolves" was great also, but it still feels like there's something missing in this album. Yeezy Season 3 Hmm I like I like Kanye, 30 hours is close to perfect with Kanye’s timing, production, and flow. Do to his recent twitter rants and back 2 back feuds between him and Wiz Khalifa, I began to wonder if he would release anymore music on Friday as promised. Well he definitely made up for the Friday's he skipped, 30 hours reminds me of old Kanye. I'm talking   College Dropout  Kanye. Last night Tidal streamed some of   Pablo   formerly titled Swish and Waves. Kanye displayed his new Yeezy season 3 collection sported by his team of Kardashians. This fashion show/album release instantly took over the internet, so he followed up with the release of 30 hours.   The Life of Pablo  is a fitting for Kanye as an artist, because his career has been so intriguing and so far the songs previewed matched with the exception of Facts of course.

Early today Kanye released the handwritten Track List to his upcoming album Swish. Rapper Consequence then revealed via Instagram that this is the same method Kanye used for his classic debut album The College Dropout , which features Consequence on the album. I hope this means that Kanye is back with the fire like College Dropout or we might have to send him to school again. So far you're 1 for 3 with leading with "No Parties in L.A." I just hope the Kardashians have nothing to do with the album honestly, save the creativity for the creators please, thank you. Hail Yeezus!  Guess who’s back with the GOOD Music?! After announcing that GOOD Fridays were back in session, when Kanye failed to release anything this past Friday, fans begin to worry. Yes, Kanye everyone has officially dropped something that's hot! I approve and he kind of made me a Kanye fan once again with No More Parties. As I predicted, he doesn't leave Kendrick hanging and lays down a nice solid verse alongside his classic Kanye flow and a couple of new flows to go with the song. Hopefully this is a sample of how all of   SWISH  his upcoming album will sound. Kendrick Lamar of course spits a solid verse, that's no surprise. Nice job Ye, looking forward to the release!

Kim Kardashian announced via Twitter that G.O.O.D Friday is back. For those of you who don't know what that means, Kanye West will release a NEW song every Friday until the release of his new album titled SWISH. Kanye introduced the original G.O.O.D Friday releases during the release of his classic album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. This is my favorite album of Kanye's to this date. So hopefully that means that the new album and singles will be just as great. Although his recent releases "Facts" and "Real Friends" are not looking like it. Today he released "Real Friends/No Parties" which features singer Ty Dollar $ign and my hopes were high once again because I love Ty and Ye for the most part, but my high quickly went low. Once again Ye borrows the Drake sound in th chorus and the song as a whole is pretty amateur compared to the Ye we're use to. Yes, this song is way better than "Facts," but it's still not great. Not so happy New Years for the Yeezy Fans. Since Kanye West released an unexpected track titled "Facts" as the clock struck midnight, bringing us into the new year of 2016. The track seems like a parody of the Drake & Future song "Jumpman," because Ye borrows Drake flow and puts his own touch on the chorus, "Yeezy Yeezy Yeezy just jumped over Jumpman." Kanye of course boast about his wife Kim Kardashian with her Kimoji accomplishment, his Yeezy Adidas, and much more. I understand that this is Kanye's personality, but to take a perfectly good turn up song and make it into this is tragic. The song lacks creativity, real substance and just doesn't fit Kanye's natural sound. Kanye also takes some what seems like quick jabs at Bill Cosby, Steve Harvey, Nike and Drake (kinda), but that's debatable. I'm First in foremost you cannot be considered the greatest of anything if you're not recognized. No that doesn't mean the more titles you have determined your greatness, but a substantial amount of people should agree before calling you the greatest. Why? "Great" people influence more people and greater people. Great people skills ultimately are recognized before their name. For example; Michael Jordan is considered one of the greatest, and during his time I'm sure there was a person that could've beaten him, but that doesn't mean that they have more skills than Jordan. If greatness was determined by one time frame, one game, one accolade, and one album, than a lot of "Greats" wouldn't or would be “Great.” Time ultimately shows your talent, work ethics, being able to withstand even under pressure. Day 7  My tattoo story Well I was a sophomore in college when I decided to finally get my first tattoo. I had been thinking about this tattoo since I graduated high school, but I wasn't old enough or was willing to pay over $40 for the tat. I have only one tattoo located on the lower side of my waist. The tattoo is a red broken heart with white Mickey Mouse hand gloves ripping the heart. My tattoo is a replica of Kanye West 808s and Heartbreak album cover. However the tattoo for me symbolizes not only overcoming relationship heartbreak but being able to withstand myself no matter what life throws at me. I always look at my tattoo when I'm in a difficult situation in order to remind myself that I've survived worse and it instantly makes me feel better. I also am a fan of Kanye West and love music in general so that helps. I love my tattoo, although people keep saying that I will regret it, but I can't see that ever happening because of the story behind it....
