Bravo Chris Rock, The Oscars

I've stated this for quite some time now, and idk maybe it's because I understand Rock's sarcastic political humor, but he's the funniest comedian alive. Chris Rock's tone, subject matter, and facial expressions all feed off of his comedic style making them in sync with one another. Last night Chris Rock hosted the 88 th   Academy Awards Ceremony for the second time in his career and well with all of the adversary behind Jada Pinkett Smith calling for    Black people to "boycott" the Awards, as a fan of Rock I made sure I watched the show. The Internet has gone crazy since the show and audiences are divided; there's the people who's pissed at Rock because they really don't understand the comedy and are now offended and there's the people like me who thought it was genius, because Rock addressed all the tensions and racial issues that our world currently face with classic comedy. This was the first time I actually watched the entire Award...

The 2016 Image Awards

With all the scrutiny Stacey Dash received for saying the Image Awards promotes segregation and should be canceled, I was more inclined to watch the award ceremony this year. Hosted by comedian Anthony Anderson the ceremony was expected to be entertaining and it was. I think Anderson did a great job speaking, and addressing important topics from a comedic stand point. I enjoy the humor of Anderson who also stars in ABC sitcom Blackish alongside Tracie Ellis Ross, who won an award last night for the show, so cudos to Anthony Anderson because he's a major reason for the success of Blackish.  The ceremony honorees came to no surprise and all but one winner were expected to take home the image award. The most shocking win to me was Michael B. Jordan for best motion picture in Creed over Will Smith in Concussion . Honestly I believe both Michael and The Smiths were all shocked by this win. You could feel the disappointment in the Smiths, but their faces never showed any salt to...

The Ignorance of Stacey Dash

What was the first thing you were taught about the African American heritage? I guess it all fell down Stacey Think long and hard before answering that question. I remember mine, simple slavery. Our history is presented to us as if African Americans only roots were being enslaved. If not slaves here in America than slaves in Africa, who were traded here to continue slavery. Disregarding African kings, queens, tribes, and indigenous culture all over the world; Kemet, Aboriginals, the Mongols, Meso-America, Nubians, etc...The other races begin from their tribes and colonies, but we began from slavery? No, you realize once you do some extended research that we (all people) were falsely educated to that accordance. Ultimately causing devalues segregation, and mistreatment that are still present in today's society. Is this intentional? Some argue no and many suggest that the mistreatment is, but ultimately that's for you to decide. As for promoting segregation such as BET, B...
