Honestly I haven't heard much of him until the release of his debut album The Autobiography on July 28, 2017. Signed to Roc Nation in 2015, Vic Mensa has definitely followed the foot steps of label mate J. Cole . Sharing both similar backgrounds and writing mechanics, Mensa is fire, creating his own buzz without being obnoxious. Also at first listen to The Autobiography instantly reminded of an older J. Cole, but uniquely keeping his originality. Perfectly titled The Autobiography , Vic Mensa walks us through the story of how he became an artist. The album is a reflection of Vic's life, having the perception of a child chasing after a musician dream. While growing into the man he is today, Mensa expresses regret and pain in losing loved ones, ultimately contributing to his success as an artist. After basically going ghost for 2 years rapper J. Cole decides to become the center of entertainment with the release of his fourth studio album 4 Your Eyez Only alongside 2 new singles False Prophets and Everybody Dies . Fans went crazy after hearing "False Prophets" where Cole decides to call out what we're assuming is Kanye for having ghost writers, and on everyone dies Cole literally murdered everyone with Lil in their name. Well done Ri Ri, I'm not even a fan of Rihanna but I did enjoy the new album ANTI . The highly anticipated album was initially suppose to come out in 2014, but was held during the middle of Rihanna switching labels from Def Jam to Roc Nation. Yikes a label with Beyoncé and Rihanna as their pop leaders, no wonder why Rita Ora wants out lol. Anti is exhilarating, giving you a release from life's pressures. Songs like "Needed" makes you value yourself, realizing at times when you're thinking about a special person or blaming yourself for the bad things that happen, that you're special too and they're encoded with flaws also. Well that's what I took from the song lol. This is a fun album, and singles like "Work" definitely captures the essence of the entire album. Anti    Rihanna gathered media and fans at an L.A. gallery tonight to unveil details of her new album, and the title has now been confirmed. As some guessed early on in the night, the tentatively titled R8 is now called  ANTI , and has some pretty awesome artwork to go along with it. The cover is designed by contemporary artist Roy Nachum, who worked with Ri Ri on the cover.
