Last Words You'd Say to an Ex #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Things I would say to an ex? Hmm this is an interesting topic for me. Why? Well because I've only had 2 exes in my life so far and I've talked to them both after the breakup. My first ex I speak with more frequently, and I am straight forward with him. There's no holding back or biting my tongue when I am addressing him, because there's no reason to. Our current relationship is weird because we're far from friends, definitely do not see each other, and we sporadically stop talking for months. However we enjoy conversations with each other, he's like a fungus that I cut but grows back every season. So I guess I would tell him "what are you doing here, leave me alone and go away." Although I've said these exact words to him several times.  Now my second ex is a little more complicated, because our breakup was strange and a little more personal than the first, so it's not as easy for us to just converse. He calls me randomly like ever...

I am Weird Because...#30DayBlogChallenge

Four Traits I Have 1. I live my life like a chess game. Winning chess games require taking risk. You take risk that your competitor didn't out think your move in order to strike you or simply get ahead. Is it spite or skill, you may question. Although this is a normal feeling that we all can relate to, I envision all scenarios in life this way, whether I’m taking economical risk or personal ones.  2. I believe in magic Normally I'd break down how the brain has distinct amounts of usage in each separate chamber, and I could go on explaining the technical details of how the possibility of "magic" is more realistic than most believe, but that's not why I believe magic exist. I actually imagine little kids wanting to be heroes like, Goku, playing with crystal energy balls without harming anyone. Remember, it's often the simple things in life that create the most enjoyment. No wonder why rebellion is exciting. 3. I'm random ...

Child like Innocence #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 24 Hmm something I miss... This is an extremely broad question, so I'm a little confused on how I should answer this. As I search through my memory bank I realize I miss the innocence of being a child. As a child it's almost like you're unaware of the pain and hurt the world provides. Yes, we experience pain and misfortune as a child, but think about it children don't realize the misfortunes they've encountered until they become older. None of the pain we experience as a child affects us until we're old enough to develop ill feelings towards it. We fall cry and then get up and start running again as a child. Now as an adult you fall maybe cry and immediately put medicine on it or might even go to the doctor. I believe that the personality we display as a child is the true nature to our character, and the rest is altered by our environment and society. As I grew older I began to lose a lot of respect for those older than me, because it's like...

My Morning Routine #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 22 Well my morning routine is simple. I wake up and brainstorm my entire day, thinking about what needs to be accomplished that day and I will accomplish them. After moments of brainstorming I begin working towards what I just summed up. Most mornings I'll start my day off with a daily devotion about positivity, currently I'm reading   Contagious Optimism   by David Mezzapelle. This book consists of multiple authors, journalist, speakers, and quotes on positivity. Giving you different views and experiences that could help you get through your hard times.  After I get a dose of positive vibes in the air I'll go walk, write, meditate or eat. There's no specific order for which activity I complete first, but usually I'll write first. Writing is soothing for my soul, it allows me to see my thoughts and adjust according to the situation. Normally I'll eat last and do multiple tasks throughout the entire day.

5 Things I Fear #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 19 ·    Being overweight    No offense to my overweight readers, but yes this is one of my biggest fears. I love food, so I understand it's a struggle to lose weight, which is why I fear being overweight. I'm a control freak m, so being overweight would mean I lost control of somewhere down the line. It's hard enough staying in shape, so trying to get back into shape is just out of the question. The second I ever start pushing the weight limit I need my true friends to tell me, in order for me to seize control again. ·    Being unsuccessful    I have so many attainable goals for my life. I am working hard every day to bring me closer to them and being unsuccessful isn't an option. However I think life's troubles eventually causes the thought of not reaching your goals to cross the mind. I try to fight this thought and doubtful feeling with switching my thoughts to only positive ones. Staying positive in all situations are the ke...

Colors are Symbolic, What Does Your Favorite Color Mean? #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 18 Blue   My favorite color is blue. I'm not quite sure why my favorite color is blue, but I guess because blue is beautiful to me in all shades. From sky blue to royal blue I just love the color and always have since childhood. After doing some extensive research I found that many of the meanings and symbols that represent the color blue also aligns with pieces of my personality. This makes me believe that our spirit is attracted to certain colors through our emery frequencies, ultimately playing a minor part in our characteristics.  The color blue often is symbolic to water and its passive aggressive like force. Water is soothing and calm, but if it's stirred up it becomes aggressive and even life threatening. Blue has connection to words like intuition, whether celestial or oceanic, blue evokes wide open spaces and is linked with infinity and primordial emptiness. The blue of the sky has been associated with the male principle, distance and the gods...

Don't Limit Yourself #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 17 A quote I live by: "If it exists in the mind than possibilities of it being reality are infinite" Li Li Nicols I hate to seem with vain quoting myself, but I truly try to live by this phrase. The mind is the most powerful tool in the universe. Why, one because the brain consist of the universe, two because it creates the world, and three because it controls your entire physical existence. Something that powerful makes it hard for me to believe that there has to be limits. To limit something is to object or restrict an option before attempting to pursue. What if Bill Gates thought of Microsoft, but said it's impossible to achieve? So when I mean by "exist in the mind," I'm referring to anything, idea, belief, concept, theory etc... If that thought was built inside of your head, than the idea of making it reality is not impossible. Good or bad.

3 Pet Peeves #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 15 My Pet Peeves 1. Someone waking me up! I hate being woke up, like uhhh just let me get my full sleep. Once I'm up I'm up and it's extremely hard for me to fall back to sleep. Also like what if I'm in the middle of an important dream. So yeah don't wake me up unless I ask to be woken up. 2. Standing behind me! I know it's weird but I'm extremely paranoid, so when someone is behind me longer than a minute I freak out. Like this literally drives me insane. When I'm in public you'll always see me looking over my shoulder because of this reason. The only time I can tolerate someone being behind me is if they're holding me or showing affection, and even then I'm looking over their shoulder. 3. Random uneven things When there's everything in place but that one little something it bothers me lol. For example; like if the whole counter is clean but there's one spot, I must clean it in some kind of...

Where Will You be in 7 years #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 14 My life in 7 years? Seven is one of the numbers of completion.  In seven years I will have success in many of my businesses. Currently I'm working on my real estate license, developing this blog as a business, I have ideas for a few other businesses also, and most importantly my music. I see my fan base increasing by 60% of where it is now. My music will create its own genre and be appreciated by all who hears. At first I would've said I'd be signed to Roc Nation because that's been a dream of mine since age 13, but now I'm not sure. I actually enjoy being an independent artist, it's completely free. Ultimately my biggest brand will be my name Li Li Nicols. With my real estate license I'll gain experience in a completely new and profitable field. I always planned to go into real estate, initially by buying property to build houses to sell. Brad Pitt inspired this in me because after Hurricane Katrina, he (not literally) built up a lot of ...

Phrases, THOTS VS On Fleek #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day12 1. T.H.O.T = Those Hoes Over There Whoever decided to make an acronym for that word; like high five to you because it's hilarious. I do not seriously use this term, so if you ever hear me saying this please know that it's for comedy. In 2013 is when I believe the acronym became popular and since then people have added to the acronym such as; thotties, McThotson, Thot Pocket, Thottied, etc... The list can go on.  2. Fleek = Nice Honestly I don't know the correct definition for the term but the implied definition is it means nice or good. This word is hilarious to me but you'll never catch me using it. The word is just too odd to place in a sentence for me. Popular phrases using the term are like: hair on fleek, eyebrows on fleek, fleekish, fleeked, outfit on fleek etc... Basically the common phrase has the "on" in front of the word. I would say this word evolved in 2013 also and I have no clue where it came from, probably vine.

Single Life, Relationship, or Situationship ? #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 11 Well my current relationship status is single. At the age of 22, being single have its ups and downs of course. I've developed a lot of mixed emotions about the single life. In 2014 I broke up with my ex boy friend of two years and I've been back "on the market" since. I enjoy having the freedom of not really answering to anyone about who, what, when, where I'm doing whatever it is I'm doing, but the single life does get lonely sometimes. Since my break up there's one guy that truly caught my interest and our situationship has been a complete roller coaster and I'm not sure it's even worth the ride. Wait, let me go back and define what a situationship is in case you've never heard of the term.  A situationship is  basically a pseudo-relationship masking itself as a formative relationship. It smells like a relationship, it sorta looks like a relationship, and it may even feel like one, but it's not. So yeah for those of you o...

I Hate Grapefruits #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 10 This was hard because I really love fruit. I guess the fruit I dislike the most would be a grapefruit. I'll eat it if it's the only option, but I really hate the bitter taste. Unfortunately for me grapefruits are known as one of the healthiest fruits, so I guess I'm missing out on nutrients.  Here are some nutritional facts about the grapefruit: §   Delicious, grapefruit is very low in calories, consists of just 42 calories per 100 g. Nonetheless; it is rich in dietary insoluble fiber   pectin , which works as bulk laxative. Dietary fiber helps to protect the colon mucous membrane by decreasing exposure time to toxic substances in the colon as well as binding to cancer-causing chemicals in the colon. §   Pectin has also been shown to reduce blood cholesterol levels by decreasing re-absorption of cholesterol in the colon. §   The fruit contains very good levels of vitamin-A (provides about 1150 IU per 100g), and flavonoid antioxidants su...

The Truth About Ageism #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 9 Ageism is a common discrimination often overshadowed, but I disagree with it completely. Every person is different, every spirit is unique, and ones mentality should not be measured next to another based on age. I am 21 years old, and yes I will say that I'm a more mature person than when I was a teenager, but I've also always been classified as an "old soul" or mature person growing up. Since birth people always thought I was the eldest out of my older sister and friends. My family always seemed to have given me more responsibility.  I believe in the phrase "old soul" because the body decays not the spirit, which means that some souls are older than others. It's like learning; some people understand certain things faster than others, so why life wouldn’t be seen in the same context? You should never stop learning from birth to death so the older you are the wiser YOU should become, but everyone's starting point is different. So at the...

Do You Read? #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 8 One of the first books I remember reading was The Giver . I was in grade school when I read this book, about a young boy named Jonas living in this Utopian society written by Lois Lowry. In New Orleans we were required to read the books on the summer reading list that we received at the end of the year. Within the first week of the new school year we'd get tested on those books. I loved this book, because at such an early age it made me question this society and the way people think based on what they're taught to believe. The Giver forces you to think of what exactly "right and wrong" is, and who determines those logistics. In 2014 The Giver was released as a movie, starring Jeff Bridges as the giver and Brenton Thwaites as Jonas. The film was a minor success, setting up a platform for a sequel. I enjoyed the movie, but not as much as I did the book.     A book I didn't like so much was Let the Circle Be Unbroken , the sequel to Roll of Thunder H...

What Does Your Tattoo Mean? #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 7  My tattoo story Well I was a sophomore in college when I decided to finally get my first tattoo. I had been thinking about this tattoo since I graduated high school, but I wasn't old enough or was willing to pay over $40 for the tat. I have only one tattoo located on the lower side of my waist. The tattoo is a red broken heart with white Mickey Mouse hand gloves ripping the heart. My tattoo is a replica of Kanye West 808s and Heartbreak album cover. However the tattoo for me symbolizes not only overcoming relationship heartbreak but being able to withstand myself no matter what life throws at me. I always look at my tattoo when I'm in a difficult situation in order to remind myself that I've survived worse and it instantly makes me feel better. I also am a fan of Kanye West and love music in general so that helps. I love my tattoo, although people keep saying that I will regret it, but I can't see that ever happening because of the story behind it....

Humans Are Fascinating #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 6 This took me forever to come up with, and I still may change the person. I couldn't come up with a single person who fascinates me. So I decided to say everyone fascinates me. Knowing people and their different life stories of what makes them who they are. When you meet someone you meet the person at their current state in life, if you're like me you pick up instant energy and vibes from people that help shape their character. However although you may feel the vibe they give off you're still unaware of why they give off this particular energy. I can instant feel if the person is a toxic person who might harm me and if they have no intentions of the sort. Weird right, but I'm not lying. No I cannot predict the future or outcome of the relationship, but if the energy is toxic and something drastic happens I cannot beat myself up about the decision I chose. Many call this intuition, an energy we all have only some peoples are stronger than others.  I belie...

Dubai is the Place to Live! #30DayBlogChallenge

Image
Day 5 We all have fantasized about living in places that we've never visited. Dubai is that place for me! I imagine Dubai being the land of oil and diamonds, with rich people on every corner, and having zero poverty. lol. Well I know that's too good to be true, but what I have seen from Dubai via Snapchat is that the city is in fact beautiful. The ocean looks as blue as in cartoons and the sun is always shining. However this blog post got me thinking about how I want to live and travel the entire globe, but I know nothing about these places. Different countries have certain laws, monetary systems, and cultures that I know nothing about. So I decided to look up a few things about Dubai, and here they go:   Currency: The UAE dirham is pegged to the US dollar with the rate fixed or pegged at (approximately) Dh3.67 = US$1.00 (or 1 UAE dirham = 0.273 US dollars). The currency unit in Dubai and other emirates is the United Arab Emirate dirham, divided into into 100...
