Straight Outta Compton Best Bio Pic Since Ray

Compton is back

Audiences lined up for the debut bio pic Straight Outta Compton

The film chronicles the background history of the group N.W.A, its members, and the dynamics of their relationships with each other, from the band's inception, to growing success and stardom until the eventual disbanding.

Straight Outta Compton is a 2015 American bio pic directed by F. Gary Gray and screen written by rapper. The films revolves around the rise and fall of the Compton, California hip hop group N.W.A, and borrows its title from the name of N.W.A's 1988 debut studio album. The film was released on August 14, 2015.

After finally seeing Straight Outta Compton I decided to write a review. I was going to just put a brief synopsis of the movie during the time it trended worldwide, but I wanted to see if the movie lived up to the hype, and it definitely did. Straight Outta Compton is the best bio pic since the 2004 Academy Award winning movie Ray. Selling over 60 million within the first week of its release, Straight Outta Compton is a huge success.

O'Shea Jackson Jr and Jason Mitchell stunned audiences with their performance as Ice Cube and Eazy-E, "they were them" making me forget that they were only actors in the movie. O'shea and Jason were not the only standout performances; Corey Hawkins and Paul Giamatti also were excellent. I could truly see this movie like 3 times, that's how great the movie is. Straight Outta Compton felt real, like you were actually there in the lives of NWA. The audience felt the emotional roller coaster of the movie, ranging from happy and fun to miserable and heartwarming. I literally cried during certain scenes of the movie. Starting with the rush action crime scene in the very first scene and ending with a heartwarming tribute to the late rapper Eazy- E, Straight Outta Compton described a true story from beginning to end. Hip Hoppers like me appreciate this movie, and the music was of course awesome. I guess Ice Cube said you're not messing up my movie, because everything was up to par, especially the cast. Good Job!
