DAMN Kendrick
Apple Music describes Damn as being brutally honest, and I can concur. Kendrick is honest about his feelings towards the music industry, society, and even his personal relationships. He's frustrated about how the unexpected has become a reality, and is confused about staying "loyal" to the path he's begun or detouring towards the norm. With Damn he's proving why he's considered the "GOD" MC without trying to do so. Kendrick does this effortless, and has no problem showing any signs of arrogance. He feels as if he deserves to be on the pedestal that so many tried to eliminate him from.
This is Kendrick's fourth studio album, and I have enjoyed the fact that none of his albums sound alike. Every album contains its own originality, showing multiple angles of Kendrick as an artist. Critics don't know what to expect from this guy, but we do know that whatever he creates will also create some form of controversy. Older and newer Kendrick fans enjoy this album. Good Job Kendrick!
