Sausage Party gets 5 stars

If I could hand Seth Rogen two Oscars for Sausage Party I would personally give him them for best comedy and best overall written story line. This animated adult comedy gets extremely direct when discussing controversial sensitive topics like sexuality, religion, race and cultural background. If you have strong belief in any kind of organized religion than you shouldn't watch the movie, because there's a 90% chance that you'll get offended. Sausage Party mocks the intelligence of people by using animation to interpret our current society. Each item in the grocery store represents a different race and ethic group which are separated by their location, beliefs, and cultural back grounds. The only unity shared among the different items are their idea of God and the organized religion. Although the items share separate but similar ideas regarding the Gods they all still believe in a "Great Beyond."

The "Great Beyond" is a form of an after life, that only the chosen ones have the benefits of experiencing. Synonymous to heaven and hell , at least until the items realize that they've been lied to their entire lives. Have you heard of the concept of ignorance is bliss? Well that's the approach the food takes once they find out the truth about the control system. They deny their reality until it's undeniable. 

As a person who also denounces organized religions due to the amount of control it has over people, the inaccuracies found inside of them, and mainly the illogical concept I enjoyed the movie. Sausage Party explains in a non threatening manner why people like myself raise these questions about our society and the amount of effort we put fort in search of those answers for a "truth." Providing viewers with a unique concept about life in a different life form. Sausage Party will leave the idea that there's more to life than what's presented to us in your mind regardless of your faith. 

However the intense subject matter was not the only enjoyable aspect of the movie. The comedy exceeds the mark while making all of the sexually weird scenes hilarious to watch. Sausage Party is extremely graphic, it's like watching an uncomfortable cartoon porn but since it's food you can't help but to die with laughter. However I personally wouldn't see this movie with my mom, because the graphics would make me uncomfortable. Every time you thought that they wasn't going to go "there," they did. Of course the hot dog and the bun were the center of the comedy as the best representation for males and females. The humor inside of the movie makes it enjoyable for any adult as a nice counterbalance against the politics. Overall Sausage Party was a very well developed movie, intertwining reality to what we think are inanimate objects and comedy like no other. I wouldn't recommend this movie to anyone who cannot find the humor in sex or religion.  However from me Seth Rogen gets 5 stars for Sausage Party.
