PUBLIC SCHOOL is a New York story. Designers Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, born and raised in New York City, represent the convergence and restless energy of the city in which they live and work.

My favorite designers from the list were: J. Crew, Carmen Valvo, Jeremy Scott, Libertine, and Nicole Miller. As a frequent consumer of J. Crew I am eager to see what the company has in store for 2016.
J.Crew debuted in 1983 with the mailing of its first catalog. Six years later, the company opened a flagship store at New York’s South Street Seaport. Today, the business includes retail stores, the ever-growing website, jcrew.com and catalog business. In March 2012, Jcrew.com launched in over 100 countries and opened the company's first stores outside of North America in London in November 2013.

Yeezus Line

Kanye surprises fashion week debuting his new Yeezy collection for the second time at NYFW and a new song that features Ty Dolla $ign and Post Malone. Alongside the fashion MC were his wife and daughter wearing matching nude suits, front row seated The Kardashian Family, Drake Lorde, and Anna Wintour. There had been speculations of Kanye appearing at the show or not, but nothing was confirmed. Designers as well as other critics don’t seem to be impressed by the collection, featuring the controversial nude color as the focus of the collection. Audiences have mixed reviews comparing the style to zombie entire and others to star wars. However I like the collection, it's futuristic! Foreshadowing the time period that I and few others feel the world is headed towards. Overall i think the collection was militant meets rebel and should not be so harshly criticized for the collection’s simplicity, because creativity does not always mean complex.
